Degree on Physics by Havana University, 10-th July 1996 (homologated to Spanish degree on Phisics), Ph.D. on Maths., by Carlos III University, 16th July 2004 (winner of the Ph.D. extraordinary prize). He has been teaching at Carlos III University from 1997 to present day. There was an interruption, where he was researching in several institutions thanks to several post-doc. grants, such as: Fund. Uni. Carlos III, K. U. Leuven, Uni. Castilla La Mancha and Uni. Aveiro. His fundamental research lines have been on Approximation Theory and Optimal Control. He has belonged to 8 research grants, participated in 10 international scientific congresses, and published 7 articles in very relevant mathematical journals such as JAT, Constructive Approximation and Numerische.
