GIOVANNA MIRITELLO

Curriculum abreviado

I studied physics at the University of Catania (Italy) where I graduated in theoretical physics in 2008 with a thesis on statistical mechanics concerning synchronization and chaos in out-of-equilibrium systems.
Since October 2008 I am a PhD student at the Carlos III University of Madrid, where I am member of the Interdisciplinary Group of Complex Systems (GISC). The main topic of my PhD is complex systems, in particular social networks.
In May 2008 I obtained a one year fellowship in Telefonica I+D (Telefónica Investigación y Desarrollo) in collaboration with the Carlos III University of Madrid where I am working in the Internet and Multimedia research group.
My current interests focus on the structure and the dynamics of complex networks, in particular large social networks.
