Curriculum

Manuel Bagues is Assistant Professor in the Business Department of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid since 2006. He is also a Ramón y Cajal Fellow since 2010. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. degree in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), where he taught Microeconomics and Business Strategy. As well, he has previously worked in the Bank of Spain and he was a post-doctoral fellow in the Sant'Anna School for Advanced Studies in Pisa. He currently teaches Research Methods at the Master in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods, and Economics of Organization at the undergraduate level. He does research in Applied Microeconomics, with a particular focus on Personnel Economics, Economics of Education and Political Economy. One of his current research projects analizes evaluation biases by hiring and promotion committees.
