Curriculum

Carlos Mallo Rodríguez is a Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting in the Department of Business Administration at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He has a Ph. D. in Economics and is an academician of the SpanishRoyalAcademy of Economic and Financial Sciences (Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras). He has been an Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and Director of the Department of Business Administration at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

He is currently the Director of the Francisco Tomás y Valiente Center of Studies, Research and Permanent Training located at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid’s Colmenarejo Campus. He has been a member of the Commission of Experts who elaborated the White Book for the Reform of Accounting in Spain, as well President of the Spanish Association of Finance Executives (Asociación Española de Ejecutivos de Finanzas).

He teaches Management and Cost Accounting since 1968, and has published several books on Accounting: Contabilidad analítica, Costes, rendimientos, precios y resultados (ICAC) y Contabilidad de Costes y de Gestión (Ediciones Pirámide). He has also worked as an executive for an industrial company and as a consultant of various companies. He is a founding member of the Spanish Association for Management and Control (ACODI) and has been President of the International Institute of Costs
